I’m Juan Finger (1985), bassist, sessionist and musical producer, based in Barcelona, Spain. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I started my career at a very young age, recording my first album at the age of 17.
I started my studies in Buenos Aires at Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda , Escuela de Musica Contemporanea and Conservatorio de Musica Superior Manuel Falla. These background plus complimentary studies gave me a profund understanding of latinamerican music, allowing me to specialise in Afrocuban Folk, Rumba, Salsa, Son, Timba added to my studies in Jazz, Tango and Latinamerican Folk.

After participating in various projects, tours, theatre plays, sessions and records I then moved to Barcelona in 2018 to continue my studies and expand my musical frontiers. I studied Flamenco at the Taller de Musics, where I complemented my bass studies with piano and keyboards.

This gave me the chance to play Flamenco in various tablaos and the Ciutat Flamenco Festival sharing stage with José Mercé when presenting his record “El Oripando”

In the latest years I dived into African Music, first playing for Harouna Samake (Salif Keita) and then becoming bassist and musical director for the Malian singer-songwriter Fatoumata Diawara, 3x Grammys Nominated.

I have toured all over Europe, United Stares, Latin America and all of Argentina. Actually I’m touring the world with Fatoumata Diawara presenting her latest record “London Ko”, while also producing young artists and participating in a diverse range of proyects that will soon be out.
